My name is Jennifer Rosiak and I will be your child's pre-school teacher for the 2008-2009 school year.  I am very excited about the upcoming school year, and look forward to working with you and your child.  Because I will be spending a great deal of time with your family, I would like to introduce myself.

I have lived in Michigan my entire life, and grew up in Woodhaven with my family.  After being married, I moved to Allen Park where I currently live with my husband and son.  When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, along with doing out door activities such as walking, camping, and vacationing.

My professional background is as follows:  I am a graduate from the University of Michigan Dearborn, where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.  Included in my degree, I have a major in Early Childhood, and a minor in Social Studies and Language Arts.  In addition, I completed my Master's Degree from Marygrove college in December of 2005.  My teaching career thus far has been in Taylor School District where I taught pre-school, first, and second grade.

I am looking forward to an exciting and successful year together.

3's Teacher 2007-2008

Hello, I’m Janet Dyer and I’m happy to be returning to Island Preschool to teach the three year old class this year.  I have admired co-op families since I first learned about them while teaching kindergarten way back in the 70’s.  A co-op was formed in our town, Rose City and the President invited me to go to Lansing with the board to the yearly conference.  I attended many MCCN conferences after that, always learning new teaching methods and gaining a healthy respect for families that were willing to put so much effort into their children’s education.

After 16 years teaching in Rose City, I married my husband David and we moved to this area.  I have a son, David Scott who is an Island Preschool alumnus and will be a junior at Alma College in the fall.

I have been working with children all my adult life.  In what I call my” other life”, I taught school in West Branch-Rose City for 16 years.  After getting married and having a baby, I substitute taught, was the 4 year old teacher here at Island, taught kindergarten at a charter school  and most recently taught the 3’s and 4’s at Wyandotte Coop Preschool.  I have also been involved in children’s nurture at my church.

I am looking forward to a year of fun and exploration.
